Sunday School

Sunday School
We offer Sunday school classes for all ages from preschool up through adults.

Children’s classes
Our goal for Children and Youth is to teach how each story in the Bible ties in with the story of salvation and the kingdom of God, to familiarize them with the content of all the Scriptures, to give them a foundational knowledge of the doctrines of the faith and ultimately lead them to Jesus. The study materials we use from Great Commissions Publications assist with that effort.

Junior High and Senior High classes
Skilled teachers use topical studies and Bible book studies to focus on honing the students’ knowledge of the Bible and doctrine so as to bring them to maturity in Christ. We want them to know what they believe and why they believe it so that when they are confronted in the world, they will know “how to give an answer to those who ask them for a reason for the hope that is within them.” In addition, we aim to equip them so that their “love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that [they] may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”

Adult classes
We rotate our main adult Sunday School addressing specific topics or teaching through books of the Bible “to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.” When possible, we will have alternate classes in parallel with the main class.

There is an Inquirer’s Class for those that want to know more about this specific church. We review the basic doctrines of the faith, what it means to be a Christian, how to walk the Christian life, the role of the church and church membership. Generally we will address the distinctives of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and this particular church.
