Tom Dizer

Elder

Tom Dizer is a retired electrical engineer who also serves as the maintenance coordinator for the Redeemer building. He grew up attending church regularly but wasn’t saved until he was serving in the US Army. Ordained as an elder in the PCA in 1980, Tom quickly found his niche assisting in church planting and serving on presbytery committees. He has a heart for caring for pastors. The family joined Redeemer and the OPC when they moved to Beavercreek in 1996.  They were part of the group that started Covenant OPC in Vandalia, then moved to New England and England before returning to Redeemer in 2007. Tom has taught Sunday school classes and is part of the men’s Bible study leadership, is active in the presbytery, and serves in the Wilmington mission work.  He is a history buff, an avid reader, an audiophile and a dedicated bicyclist, having completed a handful of centuries on road bikes as well as six on an ‘ordinary’ (high-wheel) bike. Tom and Harleen have been married 47 years, have 3 children and 4 grandchildren, and are entertained by the antics of their Siamese cat, Mitzi.
