Sunday Sermon: The End of Suffering in Christ: A New Heavens and Earth (Is 65:17–25)

Union with Christ is the central truth of a biblical doctrine of salvation and the core reality of a Christian’s life. As a result, there is no truth “more suited to impart confidence and strength, comfort and joy in the Lord than this one of union with Christ” (John Murray). But like a diamond shining on dark velvet, our union with Christ shines brighter when we grasp what Scripture teaches regarding a Christian’s suffering in union with Christ. What is Christian suffering? What are God’s designs for it in your life? How are our trials, our pain, and our losses bound up with so glorious a salvation? Come join us for a four-part weekend series, finishing with our Sunday morning sermon, on this significant and relevant topic.

Please RSVP to redeemer.opc.dayton@gmail.com if you plan to attend the conference so we can have sufficient food available. We intend to have some childcare available for those who would like to take advantage of it. If you intend to make use of the nursery, please let us know how many children, so we can have adequate workers.
