Paul Wheeler was born and raised in Xenia by a Christian mother. After graduating from Xenia Christian High School, Paul attended The Citadel in Charleston, SC, and became very active in campus religious activities, including the Baptist Collegiate Ministries, where he met his future wife, Kathryn. It was here that he was introduced to Reformed theology by his campus pastor. Upon graduation, his church pastor gave him a Post-it with the name of the church he was to attend while pursuing his graduate work at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. The church was a PCA congregation, and Paul from then on was providentially ushered into Presbyterianism. Paul went on to work in operations management at various service companies until the Lord called him back to the Miami Valley. Paul and Kathryn work at Mars Hill Academy in Mason, OH, as an administrator and teacher, respectively. They were blessed with five children, all of whom attend Mars Hill.
